Chuck Points

Chuck has sailed Asia, Europe and a variety of different sailing environments from Lake Superior to the South China Sea.  He has over twenty years of sailing experience.

In addition to holding a Masters 100 GT Captain License with an Aux Sailing Endorsement, Chuck is a certified American Sailing Association Instructor.  In 2007, he was named an ASA Outstanding Instructor of the Year.  His passion for being on the water extends to being under the water as well as Chuck is also a dive instructor.    He oversees the sailing operations and serves as the main Delivery Captain.

Mihai Cosereanu

Mihai has been sailing for over twenty years and holds a 100 GT USCG license with an Aux Sailing Endorsement.  He started sailing an Optimist and raced extensively on the Baltic, Black and Adriatic seas, holding an FD class junior national title in his native Romania.

Mihai has been a certified ASA instructor for eighteen years and has been a valued member of our team since 2009.  He was named an ‘Outstanding Instructor’ by ASA.

Chris DeHart

Chris has been a part of our team for two years, one of those as an certified ASA instructor.  He also holds a 50 GT US Coast Guard masters license with an Aux Sailing Endorsement.

As a teen, Chris started sailing Sunfish, Flying Juniors and other small boats. He has sailed up the East coast as far as the Chesapeake and on the Pacific around LA and Catalina Island.  Chris has a passion for the outdoors and enjoys hunting, kayaking, horseback riding, and gardening.  He also enjoys oil painting and sailboat restoration.

Kim Walther

Kim has sailed much of the Eastern Coast from Maine to the Bahamas and Virgin Islands. She holds a USCG Captains license with Aux Sailing & Towing Endorsements as well as on of our ASA certified Instructor. Kim was named an ‘Outstanding Instructor’ by ASA in 2015.

She enjoys all types of sailing equally – whether teaching, racing, cruising, or deliveries. Kim also teaches photography and digital design at a local high school and is a travel and lifestyle blogger, writer, photographer, and lover of anything outdoors.

Anderson Barnes

Anderson has been in the sailing business for well over fifteen years and has been teaching sailing for much of that time.  He is an ASA certified instructor and was named an ASA instructor of the year in 2017.

More than sailor, Anderson is also a highly trained shipwright.  He enjoys all facets of sailing life and feels that “sailing is more than a sport or hobby, it’s a way of life”.

Rose Ann Points

Rose Ann has been sailing for most of her life.  She began her boating life in the Northwest cruising on the Columbia River on board a 27ft powerboat.  She spent weekends and vacations on the water with her family. In 1996, she moved to Florida to live aboard a Morgan Out-Island Ketch with her three children for 13 years.  She has sailed along the East coast from Maryland to the Tortuga and up the west side of Florida, spent about 9 months traveling throughout the Bahamas, and time in the Caribbean such as Puerto Rico’s Spanish Virgin Island and British Virgin Island as well as other Caribbean locations.

She has been associated with St Augustine Sailing over the last 6 years in a variety of positions.  She holds a 50 GT US Coast Guard masters license with Aux Sail Endorsement.  She primarily manages our SailTime Base and Sailing Club as well as our New and Used boat sales.

We are St. Augustine's Sailing Connection!

We've been teaching Sailing for decades from St. Augustine's premier marina and we're a certified American Sailing Association Training Facility.

Our well-maintained fleet of sailboats from 19 to 41 feet is here at the docks by our harbor-front office. Our Captains/Instructors are certified by the American Sailing Association and are USCG licensed... you'll find us to be a Friendly, Supportive Staff of Fellow Sailors!
