Amberle

Food Curator

Guest Experience & Culinary Specialist

Amberle Burkin found her way into sailing after marrying into the St. Augustine Sailing family. While she didn’t grow up around sailboats, she quickly embraced marina life. Today, she’s a vital part of the team, bringing warmth, creativity, and great energy to every charter and customer interaction.

A Creative Start

Amberle began her journey with us as the food curator. She created stunning charcuterie boards that quickly became a guest favorite. Each board features a thoughtful mix of cheeses, meats, fruit, and gourmet treats.

Her presentation is always beautiful. Guests often ask for her by name when booking their charters, whether it’s a romantic sunset sail or a girls’ day out, Amberle’s boards add a special touch.

She takes pride in her work and loves knowing she helped make someone’s experience more memorable.

From Galley to Front Desk

As time went on, Amberle stepped into a part-time office role as well. She now helps guests plan their sails and makes sure every detail is covered. Her calm demeanor and helpful nature make her a favorite among guests and coworkers.

She enjoys working with the public and making people feel welcome. Whether answering phones or booking an anniversary sail, she brings patience, care, and genuine interest to every conversation.

Amberle makes the process smooth and stress-free for everyone who walks through our doors.

Friendly Face Around the Marina

Amberle fits in easily with everyone—captains, office staff, dockhands, and guests. Her lighthearted humor and easy smile brighten the marina every day. She’s always ready with a joke or a friendly chat, making the workplace fun and inviting.

Guests often remember her warmth and kindness long after their sail. Team members appreciate her reliability, thoughtfulness, and great sense of humor.

A Natural for Hospitality

Amberle’s personality makes her a perfect fit for the guest experience side of the business. She connects well with people and takes the time to understand what they’re looking for.

Whether she’s helping plan a proposal, organizing a family outing, or adding finishing touches to a charter, Amberle puts her heart into it. She makes sure every guest feels special and every moment feels just right.

Family at the Helm

Amberle is married to Lance Burkin, our Head Operations Manager. Together, they are part of the close-knit family behind St. Augustine Sailing. They both contribute in unique ways, keeping the business running smoothly and the environment welcoming.

Though she’s newer to sailing, Amberle brings something essential to our docks—a passion for people, a creative eye, and a great attitude.

A Vital Member of the Crew

Although Amberle may have started with charcuterie boards, her role has grown into so much more as she now helps shape the overall guest experience, both behind the scenes and on the front lines.

With her creativity, kindness, and laughter, Amberle helps make St. Augustine Sailing feel like home—for our guests and our team.
