Sailing involves both specific knowledge and skills. Intro to Sailing courses offer a great way to learn about sailing for fun.  Additionally, it helps in determining whether you wish to pursue more advanced levels of sailing instruction. Our captains/instructors provide our Intro to Sailing beginner sailors the perfect opportunity to test the waters, and learn the ropes, and hoist the sails, and handle the tiller!

Intro to Sailing Lesson

If you’ve ever felt the call of the sea, yearning to embark on a sailing adventure yet unsure of where to start, fret not!  This is the golden opportunity you’ve been seeking. With just a minimum of two eager souls, we stand ready to guide you through the basic sailing terminology and sailing skills. 

In just two short hours, you will gained the basic knowledge you need to help you decide if sailing is your new passion. Furthermore, our Intro to Sailing course will help you decide if you are ready for the next level of sailing instruction. 

Our Intro to Sailing lessons are conducted on Hunter 216, Hunter 22, or an Pearson Ensign. 

Learn The Rope - Sailing Lesson

Designed for beginners, or those who have some sailing experience and desire a refresher to hone their skills,.  The Learn The Ropes instruction is a great way “dip your toe in the water”.   Learn the Ropes Sailing lessons also further your sailing skills without the pressure of a formal class. 

Your instructor will find out the skills or techniques on which you want to work on prior to setting sail. 

The sail lesson takes place on one of our new Jeanneau 349 monohull sailing vessels.  While you will learn a great deal from our experienced captains, no certification is awarded for this training. The course can be customized as a 2-, 4-, or 8-hour experience.

Beginner Instruction is available on local St. Augustine waterways by USCG licensed Captains/Instructors.
