St. Augustine Sailing Club

A completely new way of sailing in Northern Florida

Imagine being able to have a fleet of well-maintained sailboats at your disposal, with various types of boats for different purposes. This sort of alternative has never been available in our area until now!

More sailing fun

Sail Florida in our lively J24 sport-boats for afternoon day-sails and racing, then switch to the comfortable Catalina 30 for leisurely cruising with friends and associates.

LESS MONEY + LESS WORK = MORE FUN

Gone are the pitfalls of ownership: Endless hours of varnishing, painting, cleaning, checking rigging, changing oil and so on. Also gone are those monthly payments to the bank and marina. You can maximize your leisure time by sailing and not slaving to one particular boat.

You'll also meet like-minded members, eager to share in a larger boat or maybe finally take that sailing trip to the Caribbean you've been thinking about. Best of all, this can be yours for only $30 per month (residents) or $120 per year (non-residents)! See the details below. Then simply call us for bareboat availability when you are ready to sail!

Membership

Classes of Membership

Resident - Must have ASA or US SAILING 101. Experienced sailors may achieve ASA 101 by challenge and check-ride. See sailing school info for details. A resident member resides within 120 miles of St. Augustine, Florida, and pays dues of $30 per month, applicable to any boat rental, school course, or racing activity. Dues must be used each calendar month and may not be accumulated.

Non-Resident - Same as resident, but lives more than 120 miles from St. Augustine, Florida. Dues are $120 per year which may be applied to any boat rental, school course, or racing activity. Dues must be used in the calendar year and may not be accumulated.

There is a one-time initiation fee of $100 and the minimum duration of membership is one year.

Students who take the ASA 101 with us and then join the club at the completion of the class may waive the initiation fee.
